Parco Nazionale della Sila

Sila National Park is a vast protected area in Calabria, between the provinces of Crotone, Cosenza and Catanzaro.

It is one of the first parks born in Italy, where there are lakes, woods and hills, visitor center, adventure park, ski area and horse riding. Inside it houses one of the most significant biodiversity systems, in fact many species of animals such as the wolf and deer have found in this place their natural habitat. Another aspect of the Sila, is that given the exquisite welcome and opportunity to practice numerous outdoor sports is also considered as one of the best areas of southern Italy for winter sports, in fact some countries that surround it are among the most equipped and have several facilities to reach beautiful slopes and beautiful cross-country trails.

Land of ancient traditions, the Sila has preserved intact the flavors of the past even at the table, so, not to be missed, maybe in a mountain refuge, is the pleasant time to taste the typical products of the place: the "mpanata", soup made with ricotta, still warm whey and pieces of hard bread.
